Please see below for our weekly update on recent incidents in the Custom House area, Assault 19/06/2026 (Freemasons Road): An assault occurred at the Jobcentre. The victim has indicated they do not wish to pursue a criminal prosecution.Burglary 19/06/2026 (Otley Road): A family returned home from the school run and interrupted a burglary in progress. Three suspects fled through the rear door, leaving the property in disarray. Initial enquiries suggest entry was gained via an open window. The investigation is ongoing.Criminal Damage 18/06/2026 (Hooper Road): A wooden gate in a rear garden was found broken.22/06/2026 (Hooper Road. Different address): Two individuals were seen throwing a brick through a window during the early hours of the morning.Robbery 22/06/2026 (Berwick Road): A man parked in his car was approached by four males who demanded his keys. He was threatened with a knife and told to exchange cash to get his keys back. The investigation is actively ongoing.Theft of a Motor Vehicle 18/06/2026 (High Meads Road): A grey Yamaha motorcycle was stolen.Theft 18/06/2026 (Alnwick Road): A delivery parcel was stolen from outside a property.Theft from a Person 24/06/2026: Two males approached a victim and asked for his wallet and phone. While no direct threats were made, the victim handed over his property. The victim does not wish to pursue a criminal prosecution. That’s everything for Custom House this week. I’ve had an idea….
